Halloween Party!

Ability Now participants and staff celebrated Halloween in style on October 31st. Participants enjoyed face-painting throughout the day, transforming themselves into spooky witches and ghouls or colorful clowns.

Participants were split into two groups to compete in a cake decorating contest and then wrote a story to explain the symbolism in their cakes. Which cake do you think won?

Whacking the piñata is the climax of Ability Now’s Halloween party. Every participant gets the opportunity to see if they will be the lucky one who breaks open the piñata, spilling candy all over the patio.

The day ended with the viewing of Tim Burton’s stop-animation movie, Frankenweenie, a tribute to Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. A perfect end to a perfect day, indeed!
