Job Exploration/Work in Society

Participants will build the skills necessary to find employment such as interviewing / mock interviews, role playing, job search skills, performing job tasks, rights of an employee, etc. Participants will investigate, discuss, and practice specific job functions and duties associated with a variety of types of employment and learn how those job functions could be modified to meet an ADA accommodation.

Job Role Play

  • Explore job and volunteer opportunities like working at the Food Bank sorting food items, boxing food, taping boxes, and preparing boxes for delivery. Or working at the post office stuffing envelopes, putting stamps on mail, and preparing packages to be mailed.
