Health and Fitness

This class is formulated to expand students’ awareness of their health through exercise, learning about muscles and other body parts, movement, and identifying healthy foods. In addition to exercising their bodies, they exercise their brains.

Curriculum

Caring for Personal Health

  • Knowledge of good health
  • Grooming and hygiene
  • Learning body parts and how they function

Fitness

  • Movement and exercises
  • Participants take turns leading exercises and choosing music they wish to exercise to
  • Participants do special exercises and puzzles to exercise their brains
  • Exercise lecture videos, music, and demonstrations are also used to supplement and reinforce the information presented to the class
